Connected Account

A Connected Account is a social media account that you have linked to your melabel workspace. It might be an Instagram profile, a Facebook Page, a TikTok account, an X account or a YouTube channel. Once connected, melabel can publish posts to it and read its performance data on your behalf.

Connecting happens through each platform's own authorization screen. You log in on the platform itself and approve the access melabel is asking for, so your password is never shared with melabel. Some platforms need one more step after that, such as choosing which Facebook Page, LinkedIn organization or Pinterest board to connect, because a single login can manage several. Each Connected Account belongs to one Artist Profile, which keeps different artists' accounts separate.

For example, an independent artist connects their Instagram, TikTok and YouTube channel in a few minutes. From then on, they can schedule a release announcement to all three at once through Social Post, and see how each performed side by side in Social Analytics the next day.

In melabel, Connected Accounts are the foundation of both Social Post and Social Analytics. You can disconnect an account at any time, which stops scheduled posting to it and stops new performance data from syncing.
